All about me

My first day of work attachment !
Monday, November 12, 2007

We were told to report to Ngee Ann City at Tower A for our work shadowing in Metro. After being briefed by Litz (Human Resource Training Manager), the six of us were being distributed to Metro causeway point in Woodland, Paragon in Orchard and Compass point in Sengkang respectively. Yu Bin and I is the "luckiest" and we got to go to the Sengkang outlet. Well, we took 1hr+ just to reach home.

(They have mirrors everywhere to check for images)

We learn how to gift wrap and fold doggie bag

Most of the Metro staffs are very friendly and they are very willing to teach us what they know. We were first being attach to the customer service association. Not only did they need to handle all incoming telephone calls and channel calls to requested parties; they also have to handle customer enquiry, request for exchanges, returns and refunds; sales of gift vouchers; operate a cash register terminal to handle all cash and credit sales transactions and bag customer purchases; and handle requests for GST rebates. To do so many things at one time, I think even have octopus' hands also cannot finish the job. The interesting part is that they can even have a short meeting at a staircase! What I can only say is that no job is easy. Nothing is easy.
