while I was trying to apply lotion to my face, the fire alarm went off. We all thought it must be the madam blowing her hair, thats y it triggered off the fire alarm. After a minute, the hostel stuff came into our room and asked us to evacuate. He looked serious and we smelt something burning, then i felt the seriousness and asked my mum to go. My mum packed all the things immediately and took both of our bags with us when we moved. ( I think we will be chocked to death if the fire was spreading really fast) We went out of the building and saw three fire engines. The rest of the people staying in Euro hostel were already there, some still wearing pajamas! I was holding on to one of my socks while evacuating.... Well, the younger backpackers staying here were busy taking pictures of their own and the fire engines... What kind of attitude is this??
Then we went to George Square to board the bus for our one day tour. Basically, I felt that the ppl here were very helpful generally. They were very friendly too. Take for example I meet a girl in a lift, just because we r taking the same lift, she starts taking to me! Even on the bus, the aunty also took the initiative to smile and chat with us! Even the driver cum tour guide was always ready to answer my doubts (those who knows me will know I will have endless qn) Haha... while crossing the road in the car park, the driver would even smile at us when we raise our hand to thanks her for giving way to us. For majority of Singaporeans and Malaysia, I think our cheek muscles are not as well trained as these Europeans, so we really have a lot to catch up with!
The Trossachs is a wonderful area of lochs and wild mountain. We also went to Loch Lomond, the Queen of Scotland's lakes. I didnt regret signing up for the tour and the scenery was really spectacular!
The last stop was to understand how whiskey is being manufactured. I drank one fifty of whiskey and I was already feeling drunk when i walked ard for the explaination of the manufacture of whiskey. Haha... I was holding on to the handle of the stairs for fear that I might fall into the chamber where the maize was put to filter. The smell really sucks for me... Maybe to those who likes alcohol, they would love it...
